If you have not heard about Acetyl L-Carnitine, then you are missing out on one of the greatest health supplements of recent times. Acetyl L-carnitine is similar in form to amino acid and it even has functions similar to it like being part of the conversion of food into energy. Acetyl L-carnitine which is produced by the acetyl group is responsible for the secretion of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine which is required for proper mental function.

Carnitine is available in many forms but taking L-carnitine alone is recommended by medical practioners and doctors. Also L-carnitine is the most widely available form of acetyl carnitine and it is the least expensive.
